SNOOKER: STEVE Bramwell, of Moss Inn B, was the star of the show in the 3-3 draw against hosts Oldham Boro in the Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League.

First up for Boro was Andy Pickup, who found Bramwell in imperious form.

Breaks of 47 and 34 gave Pickup no chance, with Moss claiming the opening frame.

The match was a tight affair thereafter and ended honours even.

With second-placed High Crompton being held to a 3-3 draw at North Chadd, high-flying Little Cot A edged a further point clear with a 4-2 defeat of Little Cot B.

THERE is a two-way tie at the top of the Saddleworth Snooker League.
Dobcross, 4-1 winners over Greenfield, are neck-and-neck with Mossley, who swept aside third-placed Austerlands 2 5-1.
