NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:

MOSSLEY conceded an equaliser 12 minutes into added time in the 2-2 draw at Salford City last night, in the Evo-Stik League Division One North.

Despite the result ending the Lilywhites’ losing streak, the players left Moor Lane thoroughly deflated after seeing the last kick of the game fly into their net.

Jack Redshaw put Salford in front just before the hour mark.

Michael Fish equalised with a minute of normal time remaining, and Mike Oates looked to have won the match for Mossley when he fired home four minutes into injury-time.

But the final twist came when Salford skipper Martyn Andrews suffered a nasty-looking injury.

It meant another seven minutes had to be added on, and Josh Tinker bundled home with the last action of a rollercoaster encounter.

CHADDERTON kept their promotion push on track with a 4-0 victory over Ashton Town in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.

Joseph Jacombes gave the hosts a fifth-minute lead.

Tom Hughes doubled the advantage after an hour, and Adam Edwards got in on the act just 60 seconds later.

Edwards completed the rout with a goal in the dying seconds.

OLDHAM Boro conceded two late goals as they lost 2-1 to Cheadle Town in the NWCL Division One.

Arnold Nsimbe had given Tony Mills’ men the lead in the 59th minute.

But Paul McCormack levelled from the penalty spot with 13 minutes remaining.

And to compound Boro’s misery, he did the same again with time running out.
