Emphatic Academy

SNOOKER: OLDHAM Snooker Academy ‘A’, the reigning champions, extended their lead in Division One of the Manchester League with an emphatic 6-1 home victory against Rileys Belle Vue ‘A’.

Wins from Danny Gleeson, Sajid Zamurd, Mohammed Nisar and Ian Atherton secured a comfortable success.

Academy ‘B’ crashed to a 5-2 defeat at Moor Club ‘A’. Kamran Saeed and Tanveer Hussain bagged the consolation victories.

In Division Two, Academy ‘C’ maintained their eight-point lead with a 5-2 win at Cheadle Sports Club.

Nadeem Hussain, Khalid Mahmood and Mohammed Tufail Ahmed did the damage.
