Kindred selected for GB

SWIMMING: OLDHAM-born Sascha Kindred will compete at May’s BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester.
Kindred, who lived in Limeside and trained in Oldham, is part of a 20–strong Great Britain team for the May 28 event at the Manchester Aquatics Centre, which will be key for preparation for August’s IPC European Championships in Berlin.
Sacha is Paralympic gold medalist, multiple world record-holder and the proud owner of eight world championship gold medals.
The BT Paralympic World Cup is the largest annual international multi–sport competition in elite disability sport and this year will feature wheelchair basketball, athletics and swimming and demonstrations of boccia and sitting volleyball.
Channel 4 will broadcast live from the Aquatics Centre on Saturday, May 28.
