NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY suffered a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Durham City in the Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Reserve-team captain Mike Jones was handed a starting role at the back following an impressive substitute appearance in the 2-2 draw at Salford City last time out.
New signing Lee Rick was also included.
But defender Stephen Thompson put the visitors in front after 25 minutes.
The Lilywhites pressed for an equaliser but slipped further behind with 20 minutes remaining, when striker David Dowson fired home.
Mossley boss Shaun Higgins threw on forwards Kristian Dennis and Chris Hall, but they could not force a goal.
Higgins’ side have now gone eight games without a victory, suffering seven defeats in that time.
CHADDERTON salvaged a 2-2 draw at AFC Darwen in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Joe Jacombs put the away side in front after 21 minutes.
Matt Ginley equalised for the hosts just before the hour mark, and Tom Drogan edged them ahead with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.
However, John Rogers netted in the 80th minute to earn a useful point for Chadderton.
OLDHAM Boro were beaten 2-0 at Eccleshall in the NWCL Division One.
Daniel Counter opened the scoring five minutes after the interval.
Danny Hughes doubled the advantage with a free-kick in the 73rd minute.
