Thunder roar to top of table

NETBALL:
NORTHERN Thunder stormed to the top of the Fiat Netball Superleague with a War of the Roses mauling of Leeds Carnegie.
The home side won 69-39 in the re-arranged fixture at Bury’s Castle Leisure Centre, with shooter Karen Greig missing only a handful of chances. Thunder have a game in hand on second-placed Hertfordshire Mavericks.
