NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
PAUL Buckley returns to the Chadderton hot-seat tomorrow after the Manchester FA cleared him of assaulting a referee’s assistant.
Buckley was also found not guilty of foul and abusive language towards the official. The accusations related to the game at AFC Blackpool on January 8.
He takes charge of the side for the visit of AFC Liverpool in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One, having missed the last half-dozen games while he awaited the verdict.
Gareth Morris returns to the Chadderton squad following work commitments, but there are doubts over the availability of John Rogers, who is suffering from a hamstring strain.
Buckley said: “AFC Liverpool are a physical side, but they also play good football.
“However, when we played them away from home I had a game plan which worked, and we got the three points. Hopefully the plan for tomorrow is successful and we can beat them again.”
LEE Deakin has shaken off flu and declared himself available for Oldham Boro’s trip to Norton United in NWCL Division One.
Tim Buxton, Lee Bradburn and Jerome Bryson have overcome minor niggles and are expected to play.
But Mike Cheetham is ruled out due to a knee injury and Ryan Shaughnessy faces a race against time to overcome a groin strain.
MOSSLEY embark on a revenge mission tomorrow when they head to Durham City in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
The sides clashed in the league less than a fortnight ago, with the North-East outfit earning a 2-0 victory at Seel Park.
