Connolly rocks

DARTS: INSPIRED by Peter Connolly’s superb three-dart average of 95.09, Oldham swept aside Blackpool 7-3 in the Lancashire GMC Elite Super Eights League.

Connolly also recorded a fine 104 outshot in a 4-0 win in game four.

Oldham had lost the opener, but hit back to lead 3-1 thanks to John Moreton (4-0, 75.57), Andy Pearson (4-2, 77-57) and Connolly.

A 4-0 victory from Mick Kenway (68.72) was sandwiched between two Blackpool successes to make the match score 4-3.

But Oldham held their nerve to secure the spoils after wins from Dave Yates (4-3, 75.18), Lee Holden (4-2, 73.30) and Stuart Holden (4-0, 81.08).
