SNOOKER: HIGH Crompton CC caused a surprise in the Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League when they defeated runaway pacesetters Little Cot ‘A’ 5-1.
The second-placed team took the first four frames through S Blomley, D Atkin, B Handley and A Bamford, but Danny Balcerzak managed to avert a 6-0 drubbing for the home team by winning the last.
MOSS Inn boast a three-point lead with three matches to play in the Saw-Tech Snooker League after an emphatic 5-1 defeat of Royton Cons.
