Hodson aims to beat dad

BOWLS: CHADDERTON Cot brings down the curtain on its highly-successful winter season on Sunday.
The artificial surface hosts finals day, starting at 10am when Inbev League ‘A’ Division champions Springbank attempt to concede 10 chalks to Hopwood in the final of the team knock-out.
That game is followed by the last 16 of the individual competition in which Martin Hodson will bid to defeat his father Alan, winner of the ‘A’ Division averages.
NIMBLE Nook’s Darren Griffiths and Gary Ellis clash in the quarter-finals of the Gaghills Open in Rossendale tonight (6.30pm). The rest of the draw for finals night is: Stuart Mort v Gareth Gwilliam; Chris Brown v Jack Hargreaves; Simon Coupe v Tommy Taylor.
THE Oldham Veterans Indoor Bowling League presentation will be held at North Chadderton Social and Bowling Club on Tuesday (1.30pm).
