NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY’S youngsters go for glory on Thursday when they face New Mills in the Manchester FA Youth Cup final at Salford City (7pm kick-off).
Rob Byrne’s side have dazzled this season, with midfielder Joe Heap and striker Fabio Abreu earning call-ups to the England under-18s schools squad.
It is very much the business end of the season for the youth side, with two semi-finals on the horizon, both at Seel Park.
They welcome Altrincham on April 10 in the North-West Alliance Premier Division Cup, and Marine a week later in the Open Cup.
And they can still lift the Premier Division title. Despite trailing leaders FC United by 15 points, Byrne’s boys have four games in hand
Mossley’s senior side, who gave as good as they got in a 1-0 defeat at home to high-flying Chester City on Saturday, are in action tonight.
Shaun Higgins’ men play host to Salford City (7.45pm).
OLDHAM Boro, third from bottom in Division One of the Vodkat North-West Counties League, welcome mid-table Holker Old Boys to the Whitebank Stadium tonight (8pm).
