CRICKET: OLDHAM have signed locally-based Pakistani Kamran Hussein as their professional for the 2011 Lake Garage CLL season, which gets under way on Sunday, April 17.
The 28-year-old moved to this country after marrying an English woman and now lives in Clarksfield.
Having played most of his cricket in the Mirpur Association in Pakistan, the aggressive left-hand batsman and left-arm seam bowler spent the last three seasons as professional for Parkfield Liscard in the Liverpool Competition.
Last summer, he scored 945 runs in 24 innings and took 24 wickets from 217 overs.
Oldham, who are still searching for an overseas amateur, have arranged three pre-season friendlies.
They will entertain Friarmere and Glodwick on Saturday and Sunday travelling to Moorside on April 16.
