AMATEUR RUGBY LEAGUE: HOPWOOD Hall recorded a 26-18 win against Salford City College to retain the Carnegie Regional Cup.
The final, staged at The Willows, featured the two leading teams in the North-West section.
Salford were gunning for the double after just denying Hopwood in this season’s title race.
But Matt Calland’s side had other ideas and collected the cup for the second time in as many years.
Ryan Bradbury and Matt Collins stood out for Hopwood on the day.
