Oldham facing must-win game

RUGBY UNION:
OLDHAM RUC firsts head to Whitehaven tomorrow for their final away game of the season — and a win is crucial if they are to have any chance of avoiding relegation from the North Lancs and Cumbria Division.
Guy Lovegreen’s side are bottom-of-the-table and in desperate need of points to escape the drop.
Oldham won the reverse fixture at Manor Park 26-17, so hopes are high for a repeat success if the forwards can gain control of the game.
Jack Taylor is out for the remainder of the season with a broken jaw, while Dean McEwan and Phil Graham are unavailable because of work commitments.
Luke Roscoe, Andy Birch and Jack Hawkins are added to the squad.
A PARTY to celebrate Sammy Molineux’s 70 years as an active member of Oldham RUC will take place at Manor Park on Saturday, April 16 (1pm). Players, past and present, as well as friends are invited to attend. A buffet will be served from 2pm.
