RUGBY LEAGUE:

SADDLEWORTH Rangers resume their quest for a play-off place in the National Conference League Premier Division tomorrow.

Keith Brennan’s side, who visit Wath Brow Hornets (kick-off 2.30pm), are eighth in the top-flight standings, three points adrift of Leigh Miners in sixth.

Rangers need wins from their last three games and hope other results go their way to book a play-off spot.

They are also in action on Tuesday night when high-flying Thatto Heath Crusaders visit Greenfield (kick-off 7.30pm).

Brennan said: “It’s a good challenge and a big one as well.

“All I hope for is that we do our bit and if it happens, it happens.”

Meanwhile, Mick Cashin is looking to end his tenure as OLDHAM ST ANNE’S coach in style with victories in the two remaining games in Division One, starting at lowly Normanton Knights tomorrow (2.30pm).

Cashin is hoping to sign off with back-to-back wins. Saints’ final match is away to Myton Warriors.

WATERHEAD are without a game in Division Two.

ETHAN Langhorn is in the 22-man England Students rugby league squad for the Four Nations Championships at the Scotstown Stadium, Glasgow.

The 20-year-old, who plays for Saddleworth Rangers and Leeds Met University, will line up against Wales on Monday, Ireland on Wednesday and Scotland on Good Friday.
