RUGBY LEAGUE: HOLLINWOOD bounced back from last week’s Supplementary Cup disappointment to see off Guiseley 74-20 in the Pennine League Division Five.

The promotion hopefuls came out all guns blazing after the heartache of missing out on a final place following defeat to St Joseph’s.

Peter Davies touched down just two minutes into the contest after a 40-metre run down the touchline.

Warren Taylor joined him on the scoresheet, with Andy Gorey goaling.

And Gorey produced a hat-trick of converted tries.

Davies also crossed for the second time and added the extras himself, prior to Phil Bell’s fine solo effort, which was goaled by Gareth Benias.

Mick Richmond crashed over the line at the start of the second period.

A Gorey try and conversion took Hollinwood to the 50-points mark.

Taylor and Davies touched down in quick succession, complimented by Gorey kicks.

Dave Hughes went over, with Gorey goaling. Gorey added a late try and conversion.

Hollinwood are second in the Rugby Oldham Challenge standings, seven points behind leaders Rochdale Cobras with a game in hand.

FITTON Hill Bulldogs lost 34-26 to Little Hulton in the Kukri North-West Counties League Division Six.
The sides were level at 18-18 at the interval, but Little Hulton pulled away after the break.

Reagan scored two tries for Bulldogs, while Donbavand, Bryson and Molloy all scored.

Swaine goaled three times.
