RU team’s bid to be party poopers
Date published: 22 April 2011
RUGBY UNION: RELEGATED Oldham RU can spoil Fleetwood’s promotion party with victory at Manor Park tomorrow (3pm).
The visitors, riding high in the North Lancs and Cumbria Division, need to overcome Guy Lovegreen’s side to go up automatically.
But a win for Oldham would open the door for Aspatria to claim top honours, leaving Fleetwood to face Widnes in a play-off for the second promotion spot.
Chris Heap is the latest Oldham casualty after fracturing an ankle, and he is joined on the sidelines by Gary Phelan and Luke Roscoe.
Phil Graham, Brian Massey and Rob Froggatt are added to the squad.
