CRICKET: FOLLOWERS of Greenfield will get their first chance to see the club’s new overseas amateur on Sunday.
Rahul Panta makes his debut for the Ladhill Lane outfit against Uppermill on the opening day of the 2011 Armstrongs Office Furniture Saddleworth and District Cricket League campaign.
The all-rounder, from India, locks horns with prolific professional Imran Aslam, who joined Alex Griffiths’ side from Glodwick in the close season.
Reigning champions Bamford Fieldhouse, who include ex-Gloucestershire opener Grant Hodnett in their line-up for the first time, visit Friarmere.
