NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: OLDHAM Boro boss Tony Mills welcomes back a trio of first-team regulars for tomorrow’s home North-West Counties League Division One clash with AFC Blackpool.

Darren Scanlon, Damien Schofield and Lee Deakin return from work commitments for the visit of the title hopefuls.

However, Nick Murphy’s chances of playing are rated no better than 50-50 after he suffered a thigh strain, while Callum Hannegan and Jerome Bryson are both struggling with illness.

Boro are third from bottom of the table and trail nearest side Ashton Town by three points — but Mills’ men have three games in hand.

“I think we need four points from our final four games in order to survive,” said Mills.

“We play sides at the top of the table so it is going to be very difficult. They are four cup finals, starting with Blackpool.

“It is good to see a few players returning because we have been depleted recently.”

Fourth-placed Chadderton travel to strugglers Abbey Hey in NWCL Division One.

Matthew Woodall (broken leg) is the only definite absentee for Paul Buckley’s side.

Caretaker-manager Gareth McClelland hopes to stretch the team’s unbeaten run to four matches.
