FAISAL Butt hit an undefeated 98 as Delph beat Paddock in the Sykes Cup first round.
Butt hit 12 fours and five sixes off 55 balls as Grant Jones’ men piled up 368 for three.
And Arron Lilley’s seven for 64 went a long way towards dismissing Paddock for 250.
But Micklehurst bowed out of the competition.
Set 292 by opponents Almondbury Wesleyans, they fell 122 short, with M Lawrence top-scoring with 33. Jonny Forrester’s side are still pursuing their first victory of the season.
WOODHOUSES slipped to a narrow defeat at Glossop in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League.
Chasing 238, Mike Cassidy’s men were 26 runs shy of their goal when the overs ran out.
