SNOOKER:
LITTLE Cot ‘A’ are celebrating Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League title glory.
They clinched top spot in the penultimate week of the season after a 4-2 victory over Springbank ‘B’.
Martin Kennedy’s break of 31 helped Cot secure the points they needed to lift the title.
The runners-up spot is still up for grabs and, with just two points separating High Crompton and North Chadd, it’s sure to go right down to the wire.
The Cards League is also a close-run thing, with Royton Band and Little Cot ‘A’ battling for this season’s lead role.
It is still possible for Cot to pull off a clean sweep of snooker and cards league honours, as well as the team knock-out.
A DELEGATES meeting takes place at Chadderton Reform on Sunday (12.30pm).
