Stand-in for Procter

CRICKET: ROYTON have secured another deputy professional for Saturday’s home game against Heywood.
South African Cameron Delport will stand in for Luke Procter, who continues to impress for Lancashire.
Delport, who turned 22 today, is the paid man for Rishton in the Lancashire League. A left-handed batsman, he also bowls right-arm medium pace.
Delport will be the sixth stand-in pro used by Royton this term.
Meanwhile, Royton’s merger with Roytonians is already paying dividends with Joe Greaves in the first team this weekend in place of the injured Mark Woodward.
Greaves started in the thirds following the link-up and was soon promoted to the seconds for whom he has already scored over 200 runs.
