Lynn receives Lancs call-up

GOLF CROMPTON and Royton member Lynn Truelove is in the Lancashire veterans side (over-50s) to face their Yorkshire counterparts next month.

The eight-handicapper and former Chronicle Cup winner was called up for the Roses clash after impressing in recent scratch competitions.

Lynn finished seventh in a field of more than 130 in the Northern Counties Veterans Championship at West Lancs Golf Club.

Earlier she had claimed seventh place in the Lancashire Veterans Championship at Manchester Golf Club, where she registered the third-best net score.
