Friarmere fund-raiser

CRICKET: FRIARMERE Cricket Club’s annual fund-raising ball is on Friday, June 10, at the White Hart, Lydgate.

All proceeds on the night will go to the Motor Neurone Society in support of John Lord, a club member for more than 20 years and an umpire in the Saddleworth League for the last three.

Back for Good, a Take That Tribute act, will provide the entertainment.

Tickets are priced at £35, which includes a four-course meal.

MOORSIDE CC will host the Readers Lancashire Inter-league Competition first-round tie between the Saddleworth and District Cricket League and their Bolton League counterparts on Sunday, June 12.
