Failsworth move in right direction

CRICKET: FAILSWORTH Macedonia climbed to ninth place in the Site Electrical North Manchester Cricket League Division One following their hard-fought victory at Ashton Ladysmith.

The visitors were bowled out for 122 and Ladysmith were 25 runs short of the target when their last wicket fell.

Springhead remain rooted to the bottom of the table after suffering their fifth successive defeat of the season, this time at home to Tott St John’s.

The basement boys, replying to 174 for nine, were dismissed for just 55.
