BASEBALL:

OLDHAM North Stars get the British Baseball Federation AA Northern League season under way on Sunday.

The local outfit go head-to-head with Manchester Torrent on the playing fields at Royton and Crompton School (strike-off noon). Spectators are welcome.

If anyone is interested in joining North Stars, please come along to training sessions, at the same venue every Wednesday (6pm).
