FOOTBALL:
UPPERMILL look set for a fourth-place finish in the Huddersfield and District League Division One.
Simon Tait’s men will be awarded three points after Lepton Highlanders pulled out of their fixture.
And Uppermill are likely to be handed another win for the recent abandoned match against Shelley.
They were leading the game when proceedings were brought to a halt by a nasty injury sustained by Tom Cunningham, who broke his right ankle.
Tait said: “We are just awaiting confirmation from the Huddersfield and District League, but I think we will end up in fourth.
“Considering all the games in hand caused by our cup runs, I am satisfied with that — but I want us to win the league next season.”
One of Uppermill’s sides did end up as champions — the fifths won Reserves Division Four.
