IN-FORM Delph travel to leaders Elland tomorrow in the Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership as they bid to maintain their unbeaten run.
And on Bank Holiday Monday Marsden are the visitors to Delph (1.30pm).
Grant Jones’ side currently occupy fourth position in the table, level on points with third-placed Golcar and just three behind Honley in second, and tomorrow’s opponents.
Jones said: “At the moment we are going into every match full of confidence.
“The performances of Aaron Lilley and Graeme Simpson (pictured, right) have made a big difference.
“Aaron has been brilliant with bat and ball, while Graeme has already made around 350 runs — he barely reached 200 in the whole of last season.
“It means we are not overly-reliant on just one or two players, the runs and wickets are spread out now.
“Aaron bats at number five and Graeme at six. It is such a boost to have them contributing in the middle of the order.
“With Graeme, the big difference between this season and last is confidence — he believes he will score runs.
“We have two big games coming up now which I think we can win.”
MICKLEHURST go to Almondbury tomorrow in the Oddfellows Cup first round.
Monday sees Jonny Forrester’s men resume their Cedar Court Conference campaign, and they are on the road again, with Linthwaite the destination.
Micklehurst, with one victory to their name so far this term, are currently just one point above basement boys Kirkheaton.
LEADERS Woodhouses face a trip to Woodbank tomorrow in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League Division One.
And 24 hours later Mike Cassidy’s side entertain Stand, as they look to hold on to top spot.
