Royton veteran packs a punch

ROYTON CC’S John Punchard played a starring role as Lancashire Over-50s defeated Durham by 125 runs at Formby on Wednesday.
Punchard hit an unbeaten 64 in Lancashire’s 258 for six, and then took two for 29 as Durham were skittled for 133. His Royton team-mate, Barry Woodward, scored an unbeaten 25.
