Tight Lines ace Aiden in second summer success

Angling: AIDEN Bordiak claimed his second victory of the Chadderton Mill AC summer series on the club water.
The Tight Lines rod netted 47lb of carp with paste, fished at nine metres.
Phil Hulme was a close second with his worm and caster working to the tune of 46lb 12oz of ide.
Third-placed Conrad Taylor (Gilders) accounted for 34lb of carp.
The second contest saw organiser Lee Humphries (GTI Matchman) take the spoils with a net of ide weighing 46lb.
Runner-up Jim Evans caught ide and carp adding up to 34lb 10oz, while Hulme again claimed third spot courtesy of a 28lb net comprising carp.
IN round four of the Cairo AC summer league on the Park Lake, organiser Malc Taylor led the way after taking 14lb 2oz of tench, chub, roach and perch. Roach, chub and skimmers filled Matt Corbally’s 7lb 9oz net. Paul Lord, in third, followed suit before finishing with 5lb 2oz.
FRED Prudham clinched victory in the first Medlock Bridge AC open match on the Park Lake with 12lb 2oz of roach, skimmers and chub.
Second-placed Billy Brierley followed with roach and chub weighing 10lb 9oz.
Tony Simcock came third with 10lb of chub and tench.
John Vernon triumphed in the second Medlock match.
He found quality roach, chub, tench and bream which filled a 21lb 4oz net.
Pete Cuniffe (Gilders) was next, netting 18lb 9oz of small roach and perch as well as a few skimmers which fell to hemp and caster.
Third position went to Martin Taylor, whose chub and roach added up to 17lb 2oz.
Medlock’s Monday evening matches have changed to a 5.15pm draw, fishing 6pm to dusk.
JACK Cubby was top of the pile when Lees and Hey AS fished on Copthorne Lakes.
His 22lb 8oz of ide, small carp and skimmers fell to paste and pellet, fished at 12 metres.
Stuart Taylor and his cheese paste bagged carp which formed a 21lb 3oz net.
Organiser Keith Adams took 11lb 3oz of chub, skimmers, roach and small carp.
A CHOPPED worm and caster approach worked out for Nigel Roberts in Monarch AC’s contest on the club water, where he caught 15lb 13oz of skimmers and roach.
Second spot went to Dave Ireland, whose chub, roach and skimmers made 13lb 5oz.
In third, Geoff Carr claimed ide and roach weighing in at 10lb 7oz.
MARK Eaton Dykes won the Cranberry AC contest on Partridge Fisheries Marsh Lake thanks to 41lb of carp, ide and silvers.
Jim Wild and Jack Cubby tied for the runners-up berth on 22lb, with Steve Orr catching ide and small carp which totalled 18lb.
DAVE Castle has resigned from the committee of Saddleworth and District Angling Society, and will no longer running matches for the club.
