CRICKET: FAILSWORTH Macedonia earned a convincing home triumph over East Lancs PM in the Site Electrical North Manchester League Division One.
They racked up 220 for nine and their opponents were 54 runs short of the target when their last wicket fell.
The win saw Macedonia climb to eighth in the table.
Calverley Cup second-round action 24 hours later saw the Failsworth outfit muster 219 for four prior to restricting Rochdale Catholic Club to 211 for eight.
Springhead remain rooted to the bottom as their winless start to the campaign continued at home.
The hosts dismissed Robinsons visitors for 192, and had mustered 181 for eight when they ran out of overs.
