Third spot for in-form Harriers

ATHLETICS
OLDHAM and Royton Harriers registered a clutch of good performances to claim third place in the UK Athletics Young Athletes League match at Doncaster.
Ciara Doyle, competing in the under-13s girls’ section, recorded 12.1 seconds for the 75 metres and 24.4s for the 150m.
Maria Gabrilatsou also had a good day in South Yorkshire.
In the 70m hurdles, she ran 17.8s and 150m in 28.2s. Gabrilatsou crossed the line in the 800m in three minutes 26.2 seconds.
Amber Boulton ran the 75m in 14.3s and the 800m in 3:33.9, while Olivia Green completed the 1,200m in 4:17.2.
Danielle Parrott and Phoebe Price performed well in the under-15s sprints for girls.
The former ran the 100m in 13.9s and the 200m in 28.5s, while the latter stopped the clock at 15.2s for the 100m and 30.5s for the 200m.
HURDLES
In the same age group, Lucy Kershaw ran the 800m in 2:53.6, Emma Burman 75m hurdles in 14.5s, Rachel Emmott 1,500m in 5:50.6 and Niamh Boulton 1,500m in 6:07.4.
Under-17s girls competitors Lauren Cooper ran the 80m hurdles in 18.5s and the 100m in 16.4s.
Team-mate Chloe Lord recorded 2:39.7 for the 800m and finished the 300m in 47.9s.

IN the Oldham Park Run, staged at Alexandra Park, Harriers member Jodie Tinker was the second women home in 26:32.
