WOODHOUSES will look to extend their lead at the top of the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League Division One table tomorrow when they travel to old rivals Denton West.
Mike Cassidy’s men will be up against a side desperate for revenge — this is a repeat of last season’s Walkden Cup final, which Woodhouses won.
The Medlock Road outfit have made a flying start to the current campaign and are four points clear of second-placed Prestwich.
As well as looking to avenge their cup heartache, West will be keen to get their own title bid back on track.
They occupy fourth place in the table, 12 points behind Woodhouses.
DELPH aim to overtake leaders Honley tomorrow in the Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership when they entertain Skelmanthorpe.
Grant Jones’ side are in second spot, just two points behind the pacesetters, and will be confident of beating their visitors, who have just one win to their name this term.
And 24 hours later Delph go to Golcar in the Sykes Cup third round.
This busy weekend presents Delph with the perfect opportunity to bounce back from their midweek Twenty20 defeat to Barkisland who, after making 152 for eight, dismissed the away team for 140.
Micklehurst host Kirkheaton tomorrow in the Cedar Court Conference, looking to build on two successive triumphs.
