Webb holds nerve to clinch win

SNOOKER: LEADERS Moss Inn maintained their unbeaten start in the Manchester Three-man Summer Snooker League season with a 4-2 home win over Sale Excelsior.
First on for the hosts was Michael Wild, who pocketed victory thanks to a 49-break.
But he lost the second frame after he was unable to get the two snookers he required.
Mick Smith restored Moss Inn’s lead, but he, too, went down in his second frame as Excelsior levelled the match.
But Mick Webb ensured victory by first clearing the colours and then holding his nerve on the black.
Moss Inn, who hold a two-point advantage at the top of the table, are away to Denton Libs tomorrow (8pm).
