CRICKET: SPRINGHEAD are still on the look-out for a first win of the season in Division One of the Site Electrical North Manchester League.
The basement boys, with only one point to their name, crashed to 65 all out in reply to mid-table Blackley’s 207.
Failsworth Macedonia also lost, but they made leaders Elton Vale work mighty hard.
Dismissed for 97, Failsworth claimed nine Vale wickets before finally succumbing to an agonising defeat.
Meanwhile, Greenfield thirds were unable to fulfil their fixture at Failsworth Macedonia seconds in Division Three. Sunday’s programme was wiped out because of rain.
