AFTER victory over Skelmanthorpe last week, Delph are the team to catch in the Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership.

And Grant Jones’ side will be looking to keep hold of the lead when they visit Broad Oak tomorrow.

Delph are also in action 24 hours later with a trip to Golcar in the Sykes Cup.

Rain washed out last Sunday’s attempt to play the quarter-finals, forcing league officials to re-arrange the ties for the reserve date.

Golcar, in third, are one of Delph’s main rivals for the title.

MICKLEHURST are riding the crest of a wave in the Cedar Court Conference.

Three wins on the spin have lifted the Castle Lane outfit to fourth in the table, and they have a great chance of making it four in a row at basement boys Kirkheaton tomorrow.

WOODHOUSES are on the comeback trail in the Lancashire County League.

Hopes of an eighth straight victory in the league were dashed by Denton West — a result which allowed Prestwich to join them at the top.

But Woodhouses should be too strong for Thornham tomorrow as the visitors are rooted to the bottom.
