Qasim and Amjad shine for Friends

FRIENDS won their top-of-the-table clash with Foresters in the Ashton and Oldham Cricket Alliance.

Batting first, they posted 212 for seven thanks in no small part to 84 from Qasim and Amjad’s 80.

Foresters were 90 runs shy of the target when their final wicket fell. Nadeem claimed four for 28 for Friends.

Europa Exiles were restricted to 104 for nine by opponents Heyside thirds.

S Partington smashed 50 off just 15 balls and eventually made 80 as Heyside clinched a six-wicket victory.
