LEADERS Delph entertain third-placed Elland tomorrow in the Drakes Huddersfield Premiership.
The match gives Grant Jones’ side the perfect opportunity to shake off the disappointment of their Sykes Cup quarter-final defeat at the hands of Golcar last time out.
Delph’s league form, however, remains impressive. Top of the tree after 11 games, none of which have ended in defeat, they are currently three points ahead of Honley, who occupy second position.
Delph are seven points clear of tomorrow’s opponents.
Sunday sees Jones and Co. travel to 10th-placed Skelmanthorpe.
In the Cedar Court Conference, Micklehurst welcome Thongsbridge to Castle Lane tomorrow and host Linthwaite 24 hours later in the Oddfellows Cup second round.
After a shaky start to the campaign, Jonny Forrester’s team have started picking up points and now sit fourth in the table, although their last match against Kirkheaton ended in a narrow defeat.
WOODHOUSES hit the road to Cheetham Hill tomorrow in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League Division One.
Mike Cassidy’s outfit are currently at the summit after a superb start to the season.
They will be looking to extend their lead over second-placed Prestwich and the rest of the chasing pack.
Man-of-the-moment Josh Tolley will also be aiming to continue his fine run of form.
Last time out he scored 104 in a comprehensive triumph over Thornham, and posted an unbeaten 150 in the Village Cup win against Great Eccleston.
