UNBEATEN CENTURY . . . Matt Taylor.

DESPITE a superb unbeaten century from Matt Taylor, Werneth suffered the first of two weekend defeats at the hands of Radcliffe at the Racecourse on Saturday.
One of only two matches to survive Saturday's rain, this game was reduced to 37 overs per side and it was Taylor, with 101 not out, who looked to have put Werneth in command as the visitors made a highly-respectable 153 for five. Home professional Anwar Ul-Haq took three for 35.
But despite three wickets apiece from skipper Andy Walker and pro Hasnain Abbas, Werneth could not prevent Radcliffe from reaching their target for the loss of seven wickets, Dominic Gavin top scoring with 34.
In the only other game played, Middleton beat Rochdale by six runs in a 20 overs game.
