SNOOKER:
THE MOSS Inn stretched the lead to six points in the Three-Man Manchester Summer Snooker League with an emphatic 5-1 win over second placed Oldham Academy 'D'.
First to the table was Michael Wild, who won the first frame with ease and in the second knocked in a superb 90 break, missing a difficult last red for the chance of a century clearance.
Second to the table was Mick Webb, who made easy work of his opponent with a 34 in his first frame. In the second, a nicely-constructed 74 break ended when missing the yellow for a potential 101 clearance to put the Moss 4-0 up.
Last to the table was Mick Smith, who lost his first frame but in the second managed to clear the colours up to give the Moss Inn a well-deserved 5-1 victory.
The next match is away to Stockport's Crucible 'C' team (8pm start).
