Boxing: ERIC Noi is predicting fireworks at tomorrow night’s “Oldham v the rest” amateur boxing show at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
Noi, who runs Oldham Boxing and Personal Development Centre, has organised the fundraising event to pit the town’s best hopefuls against opponents from further afield.
Proceeds go towards the redevelopment of the club’s new gym at Victoria House on Greaves Street.
“I see all the fights as 50-50 bouts, so they are all going to be tight,” said Noi.
“Any fight that goes to the wire provides entertainment, so it should be a special night.
“This is a big chance for a lot of lads from this area to do well in front of what will hopefully be a big crowd.”
With tables selling out fast at least 200 boxing enthusiasts will be watching, although Noi is hoping business done until the last possible moment will push that figure closer to 500.
For ticket details contact Noi on (0161) 628 8466 07988 701 805, email info@oldhamboxing.co.uk or call the Queen Elizabeth Hall on (0161) 770 4083.
The first fight gets under way at 8.30pm.
