SNOOKER: IT was business as usual for the Moss Inn snooker team against Droylsden Catholic Club as they won 4-2 at home to keep an unbeaten start to the Manchester Three-man Summer League.
First to the table was the in-form Michael Wild, who knocked in breaks of 30 and 55 in his first frame and comfortably won his second to give the league leaders an early 2-0 advantage.
Second up was the unbeaten Mick Smith, who lost his first frame but showed his class in the second with some trademark long potting to put the Moss Inn 3-1 ahead.
Last on was captain Mick Dickenson who compiled a 47 break in his first frame and was unfortunate to lose the second after going in off on the frame-ball blue.
Victory maintained Moss Inn's three-point advantage at the top over nearest rivals Oldham Academy ‘B’.
Their next match is against Rileys Belle Vue ‘B’.
