Medal haul glee for Team Oldham

ATHLETICS:
TEAM Oldham brought back a clutch of medals from the Greater Manchester Schools Athletics’ Championships.
Athletics gold medals went to Daniel Leslie (Hulme, inter-boys shot putt, 10.96 metres), Kausar Miah (Oldham Academy North, inter-boys discus, 23.44m), Isaac Noi (Hulme, junior boys 100m sprint, 12 seconds) and Georgia Stanworth (Our Lady’s, inter-girls javelin, 27.48m).
Ryan Hall (Hulme, junior boys 800m, 2.13.05), Christopher Brown (Crompton, House, junior boys 1,500m, 4.34), Katie Frost (Blue Coat, inter-girls discus, 20.71m) and Josh Sutton (Hulme, inter-boys 100, hurdles) claimed silver.
Clinching bronze were Luke Brierley (Saddleworth, junior boys 80m hurdles, 16.17), Rachel Birchall
(Hathershaw, inter-girls 100m sprint, 13.15), Mary Elcock (Crompton House, inter-girls long jump, 4.94m), Eleanor Millington (Hulme, inter-girls shot putt, 7.48m) and Jade Pearlman (Failsworth, junior girls javelin, 25.50m).
