GOLF:
CHRIS Pierson, with a round of 83-18-67, emerged victorious in the Edwards Trophy at Oldham
Janet Kershaw (81-13-68) claimed the first sweep, with Ann Smith ( 98-29-69) receiving the second sweep prize.
DIANE Williams denied the lady captain in the EWGA medal for the Bunty Booth qualifier at BROOKDALE.
A round of 85-14-71 clinched victory from Kath Storey’s score of 103-31-72
WERNETH also staged an EWGA medal, which doubled up as the Bunty Booth qualifier.
Victory went to Jane Fletcher, who returned 74-6-68.
Sheila Waterhouse picked up the First Division prize thanks to a round of 95-24-71, from Brenda Martin (98-24-74).
Steph Cocks bagged the Second Division prize with 112-36-78.
There was a tie for the runners-up spot, with Susan Green (110-32-78) and Betty Keating (111-33-78).
Brenda Martin (98-24-74) qualified for the Bunty Booth.
