CRICKET: BILAL Khiljee was the stand-out performer as leaders Delph won at Shepley in the Drakes Huddersfield Premiership, to avenge their Twenty20 defeat.
He took eight for 40 as the visitors were bowled out for 86.
Delph knocked off the runs in 13 overs at the expense of three wickets, with Irfan Zahoor producing an unbeaten 47.
In the Cedar Court Conference Micklehurst, chasing 288 against Linthwaite, fell 167 runs short of their goal.
WOODHOUSES suffered a surprise loss at Irlam in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League Division One.
Luke Swards claimed four for 58 to help dismiss the hosts for 180.
But Mike Cassidy’s title hopefuls were bowled out for 173. The only consolation for the Medlock Road outfit was seeing leaders Prestwich also shocked — their conquerers were Cheetham Hill.
