Barbara lands Werneth major

GOLF: BARBARA Whiting shot 89-25-64 to win the Handley Memorial Trophy, a major competition at Werneth.

Runner up was lady vice-captain Fiona Dooley with 73-5-68.

First division, first prize was shared between Eileen Fallows (92-23-69) and Heather Jeffreys (87-18-69).

Second division first prize went to Sylvia Grant (109-36-73), with the second prize going to Dee Whittingham (104-30-74).
