FRIARMERE and Heyside are first on stage at this year’s Twenty20 Cup finals day on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29.
The opening semi, which gets under way at 10.30am, is followed by Shaw and Saddleworth locking horns at 1.30pm. The final is scheduled to start at 4.30pm.
Heyside are hosting finals day for the first time in the sixth year of the competition sponsored by 20-20 Vision of Uppermill.
And Nick Campbell’s side are chasing a hat-trick of titles after defeating Uppermill in 2009 and Moorside 12 months later.
Friarmere, who lost to Shaw in the 2007 final, are the outsiders of the quartet. However, in Asif Qayyum, the West View outfit boast a batsman capable of taking apart any bowling attack in the league.
Saddleworth, like Shaw, are looking to lift the trophy for the second occasion as they were the inaugural winners on their home ground in 2006.
