All out for 18

CRICKET: WOODHOUSES got a memorable weekend off to the perfect start by dismissing visitors Denton for just 18 — a Lees Brewery Lancashire County League Division One record.
Just 24 hours before they saw off Sessay to reach the Persimmon Village Cup final at Lord’s, Sam Sweeney claimed eight for seven as the hapless away side crumbled.
The Medlock Road side reached their target without loss — and with leaders Prestwich losing, Mike Cassidy’s team moved to within one point of the summit.
Cassidy said: “We are absolutely delighted. It was an unbelievable weekend in many ways.
“It was one of those afternoons where everything went right for us and the match was finished in no time.
“It was an important result and proved to be just the start of a fantastic couple of days for this club.”
Even the second team excelled themselves. They bowled out Denton seconds for 32, with Doug Sloan taking five for nine and James Pearson three for three.
Woodhouses won at the expense of three wickets.
