Nathan back on duty

FOOTBALL: GOALKEEPER Nathan Pennington will carry on between the sticks for Chadderton’s visit to Eccleshall in Division One of the Vodkat North-West Counties League tomorrow.

Pennington deputises for Lee Swanson, who may be out for three weeks after he suffered concussion in the Broadway’s side opening game of the season against Abbey Hey.

Chadderton’s fixture at Cheadle in midweek was abandoned after 70 minutes because of poor visibility. The score was 1-1 when referee Abid Hussain called a halt to proceedings.


OLDHAM Boro did not even take to the field on Wednesday evening as their match at home to Daisy Hill was postponed because of a waterlogged surface.
Lee Deakin (ankle) and Alex Dibley (hamstring), who missed the 2-0 defeat by Formby on Saturday because of injury, are back in contention for the visit of Northwich Villa tomorrow

Boss Tony Mills said: “Nick Murphy also missed the game due to an administration error, so it will be good to have him back. William Moore had other commitments, but should return.”

Redmond Parker was best man at fellow forward Brandon Stone’s wedding last weekend, but both are available along with midfielder Kyle Parsons.
