DELPH edged to victory in a low-scoring match at Golcar in the Drakes Huddersfield Premiership.
Bilal Khiljee claimed five for 36 to help dismiss the hosts for 97. Bruce Cruse top-scored with 37 as Delph earned a three-wicket win.
WOODHOUSES slipped to a surprise home loss at the hands of Woodbank in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League.
Mike Cassidy’s team bowled out their opponents for 131, with Luke Swards taking five for 50.
But despite Swards clocking up 50 with the bat, the Medlock Road outfit were nine runs shy of their goal when the last wicket fell.
Woodhouses are now six points behind leaders Prestwich, who cruised to a nine-wicket triumph over Flowery Field.
